Even the authors of the 14th amendment claimed it DID NOT apply to foreigners (or even native american indians) because they are subject to the jurisdiction of their home countries (or tribes).

WRONG! Better read the constitution Bill. The 14th amendment, Mr. “O” has been tragically misused, abused and malevolently reinterpreted to fit the liberal/progressive agenda and support “anchor babies”.
With the right congress and president, half of the SCOTUS could be impeached for inappropriate judicial activism and the 14th amendment could be overruled in cases of “illegal” alien births.

Lying pieces of scum like O'rielly know the letter and intent of the amendment never gave citizenship to babies of foreign nationals (those under the jurisdiction of another country) birthed here, legally or otherwise. He thinks people are too stupid to find the truth themselves, and sadly, in many cases he is right.
I think the 14th Amendment should be repealed. But I don’t think it will be. Certainly not in my lifetime. Therefore I view this is a somewhat of a distraction.
As a Californian, illegal immigration has been one of my biggest issues for quite some time now.
IMHO you really need to do about four things to get a handle on it:
1) Secure the borders.
2) Enforce existing laws.
3) End sanctuary cities.
4) Turn off all magnets attracting illegals to begin with.
You do those four things alone, you would probably solve about 95% of the problem of illegal immigration. You don’t need get into Constitutional issues when we already have sufficient laws on the books to deal with the problem.

The law says otherwise. These classes of people, even if born here, are NOT American citizens under the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1952:
a child born on American soil to a:
(1) foreign ambassador,
(2) head of state,
(3) foreign military prisoner
So what prevents Congress from simply adding another class of people to the list?
