No way would Trump kneecap himself by announcing he'd step down before even being elected. But I agree that Cruz on the ticket would be the ultimate "finishing school" for him to step in as POTUS after Trump. No way can Cruz carry the "Reagan democrats" at this stage. Cruz is brilliant and would be a great president, but the country as a whole isn't ready for him yet. We need a bulldog like Trump to take on the special interests that have corrupted the political system.

As Trump is fond of pointing out, he knows how the current system works so who better to dismantle it. You need an insider to smoke out the string-pullers and cut those strings for good. That, more than anything, would be his main mission. Once that job is done, then Cruz can help repair and restore the constitutional structures that will protect the integrity of the Republic for decades to come.

Restore the Rule of Law and it will be said that this generation looked into the abyss and turned back, restoring the American dream.

Cruz has been doing just that in Washington already....so I really think we’re going to get them both when all is said and done. One is the “inside” man, the other is the “outside” man.....so that “zipper” is going to come together very well, which will include those we aren’t seeing but nontheless operating in the ultimate “take back” of our Country.
