For Donald Trump, it wasn’t enough to upstage Jeb Bush by booking a town hall meeting at the same time as the former Florida governor. Trump had to attack him, too.
In a 30-minute news conference in Derry, New Hampshire, that was broadcast live on Fox News and CNN, the real estate mogul ripped into his GOP primary rival, saying, “I don’t think he’s electable.”
“Jeb Bush is a low-energy person. For him to get things done is hard,” a feisty Trump said. Trump went after the former Florida governor on multiple fronts, dismissing Bush’s positions on education, health care, immigration and foreign policy.
After criticizing Bush’s support for the Common Core educational standards, Trump turned to Iraq.

At his town hall later that night — his first of the campaign — Trump continued the attacks.
“Right down the road, we have Jeb — very small crowd,” he said. “You know what’s happening to Jeb’s crowd right down the street? They’re sleeping now.”
Look at the girl in the green yawning.
The youth vote certainly didn’t show up.

The woman on the far left of Bush looks like she’s sleeping. Trump was absolutely right about the people sleeping at Bush’s town hall.
OMG, the girl in the back is actually trying to stifle a yawn with her hand! Trump was right about the Bush crowd sleeping.
The optics of this Bush town hall are astonishingly inept. The visuals scream out reinforcement of everything Trump and others are saying about Bush being low-energy, boring, uninspiring, etc.
It’s actually stunning that this is the best that Bush’s supposedly professional handlers can come up with.

Bush’s base is the Stop-the-Bickering, Reach-Across-the-Aisle, Work-with-Obama-for-the-Good-of-the-Country crowd.
And Jeb also started using some of Trump’s lines to try to endear himself to his followers by claiming to want to do more to enforce against anchor babies - won’t see Trump adopting any of Jeb’s policies.....
I was watching with interest Yeb’s town hall. Listening to him should be a treatment for insomnia. Trump is right half the room was snoozing. Who the heck was the guy in the back with the Dr. Suess hat on?
