Not much. The economics of the City were sustained by other companies. The city still grew.

Then the demographics changed and "workers" moved to the suburbs. Population has decreased substantially.

That leaves the poor and elderly. It became a welfare city....and that's where it remains.

The wealthier Rochester folks live in the suburbs but "own" Rochester.

Rochester is all about politics.
