An attorney for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl said Thursday recent comments made by Donald Trump threaten his client's right to a fair trial, after the presidential candidate called Bergdahl a "dirty, rotten traitor."
At a town hall in New Hampshire on Wednesday, Trump referred to Bergdahl as a "dirty, rotten traitor" and appeared to pantomime his execution while criticizing the soldier's release as part of a prisoner exchange with the Taliban.
Attorney Eugene R. Fidell said in a statement that his client was unable to speak out in his own defense because he is facing a preliminary hearing in the military justice system.
"Nor, as a practical matter, is he [Bergdahl] in a position, for the moment, to bring the defamation lawsuit Mr. Trump richly deserves," Fidell said in the statement.

The whole “negotiation” with Iran was a knowing, deliberately traitorous charade, just like the Bergdahl “prisoner exchange”, that was designed to cover for a pre-determined act of deliberate treason, an act carefully designed to create a mortal threat to the United States and Israel. Israel, however, is only Obola’s secondary target; the United States is that utterly evil IslamoMarxist’s primary target.

You also can't sue someone for stating their opinion about a person. So, if someone states their true opinion, you're doubly screwed. If Bergdahl's lawyer even tried to bring this suit, he'd be hit with a motion for sanctions.

I’d love for them to bring out the documentation and witnesses necessary to “prove” Trump wrong. Somehow I don’t think it would end up like Bergdahl wants it to.
He’d probably go all Bradley/Chelsea Manning and start wearing dresses and wigs and calling himself Becky Bergdahl to try and get himself into women’s prison.
