I can’t stand Schumer, but he knows NY Politics as well as anybody. This lady is making a political mistake and she would be well served to listen to her NY Colleague.

Schumer said this choice would be a matter of conscience.

Gellibrand is letting her ambition override her conscience.

The author is missing the fact that the lobbying is two stage and they are in the 1st stage, the precloture vote stage.

The second stage is the arm twisting, get nasty and threatening stage. This begins after Obama vetoes the legislation. This is when AIPAC and the other groups operating under AIPAC will threaten to cut off her campaign donations and give the money instead to her next challenger.

I strongly suspect that she has a commitment from J Street to provide her with campaign money if AIPAC cuts her off.
