Wow; I was in high school in urban NJ back then and the furthest they went was to tell us to not bully the homosexuals. I didn’t encounter propaganda of that strength, although they were starting in the freshmen classes when I was a senior with the notion that heterosexual promiscuity among teens was normal and bringing in instruction on the use of prophylactic devices.

We were rural farm kids and by the 1980s is was way to late to convince us that we might be gay.
