Trump reignites Megyn Kelly feud with 'bimbo' tweet
The Hill ^ | 8/24/15 | N.Zimmerman

Posted on 08/24/2015 8:17:26 PM PDT by VinL

Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly returned Monday night to host The Kelly File following a 10-day vacation, but her extended R & R seemed to have no relaxing effect on her loudest critic: Donald Trump.

In a series of late-night tweets, Trump accused Kelly of being “off her game,” and suggested she “must have had a terrible vacation” because she was “afraid to confront” her guest, Dr. Cornel West, on the subject of immigration.

Trump followed up his tweets with a couple of retweets from supporters who called Kelly a “bimbo” and her show “a waste of an hour on Fox.”

“The bimbo back [sic] in town,” said one tweet, which Trump reposted into his own timeline. “I hope not for long."

The Republican front-runner’s infamous feud with Kelly -- sparked in the aftermath of the first GOP debate, which Kelly co-moderated — reached a crescendo shortly before her temporary leave of absence, when Trump made a comment appearing to reference menstruation as a reason for a line of questioning he believed was unfair.

Trump went on to suggest several times that Kelly’s vacation was ordered by higher-ups at the news station as a result of the fallout from their post-debate friction.

Fox News pushed back on those claims, saying the time off was scheduled months in advance.

Unfazed, Trump repeated his allegation tonight on Twitter.

"I liked The Kelly File much better without @megynkelly,” the businessman tweeted. "Perhaps she could take another eleven day unscheduled vacation!"

Margaret Truman was a singer. All of that before I was born. But my mom would laugh about it.

In my Post #186 I replied to your concern that Cruz isn't getting much "traction" lately. I gave you two facts. Why on earth would you respond to me like that and accuse of smoking, ingesting, shooting up or drinking something. I don't understand your snippy reply to that Post. Now, I have plenty of Posts on this website that you could have responded to the way you did, but, you are very enigmatic. And, btw, I AM having my "beddy-bye" beer right now before retiring.

No, Miss Truman was a pianist and though I was a little kid when all of that happened, I remember it all very well.

“Query why it is so easy to take people's comments about Trump and apply them, word-for-word, to Obama.”

Simply saying that what you say doesn't matter, as the “people” will decide who is the next President, and it won't be for the reasons you expressed, as that isn't important to them. Trump is a populist. So was Obama. Would you rather lose with someone else who isn't? If so, enjoy it while it lasts.

Trump’s “nitpicking” has not inhibited his airing of the issues of illegal immigration, planned parenthood, sanctuary cities, anchor babies, the wall, violence among the black community, and many others, like no other candidate.

He can nitpick and discuss issues at the same time.

He has directed the national conversation to those issues in part by going after the press and refusing to allow those who do not agree with him to act as editors of his speech with criticisms of his use of words, while not attacking the substance of his thoughts.

This is the kind of honesty that we need at this time.

I don’t care about the personality, but only the actions that a candidate will in fact take when in office.

If he wants to take down a bimbo advocate on Faux News in the process, that’s fine with me, because he can do both.

Having said that, I still want Cruz to get the nomination, because I trust him the most, among the spitting 17.

Won’t be tuning in again, my local 12 page newspaper is a better source of news.

“You somehow believe that Bernie or Dummy Biden can beat Trump? REALLY ?”

I do (Biden/Warren. Bernie, I don't think he'll make it). More takers than givers now. The tipping point was passed in 2012. Can Trump get us back? I hope so, but still can't bring myself to truly believe it (his getting elected). Look at the divisions we are having even here in a contest where one person has a huge advantage over the other candidates in his party. By the time the election rolls around, we'll be hopelessly divided. Look at my tag. It's optimistic, yet I'm still pessimistic. Sux.

Ted Cruz's poll numbers don't match up to your wild delusions of Ted being the nominee and the GOP-E and MSM hate him more than than almost everyone else who is running.

Ive been posting here 15 years longer than you have, been involved in politics all my life, in one way or another, and call 'em as I see 'em. I'm a realist.

Kelly is obsessed and under a compulsion o go after Trump. She resents being put down and she cannot let go. This will destroy her career.

Once Fox no longer wants her no one lese will.

In a field of 17 candidates, a 20% vote will win, if all the votes split, and in Florida, a winner take all state, the 20% vote will win 100% of the delegates.

This is why so many with so little chance, stay in the race. To siphon even 1% help the GOPe immensely, if that 1% would go to a conservative alternative.

The losers need to get out.
