CENTURY CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two brazen suspects armed with assault rifles held up a Rolex store at the Westfield Century City Shopping Center Monday afternoon, firing at least one shot during the robbery. No injuries were reported.
Authorities say the armed robbery happened in the 10000 block of Santa Monica Boulevard at 12:01 p.m. The gunmen went up the escalator to the mall and headed straight to the store during lunch hour.
A security guard tried to stop the suspects from entering, but when he tried to shut the door, the suspect fired a round into the store.
"All the people in the store were ordered to lay down on the ground," said LAPD Lt. John Jenal.
The suspects fled with an undetermined amount of merchandise. They headed back down the escalator, where a third suspect was waiting in a getaway vehicle.

He shouldn’t feel too bad. When I was younger I went to Juarez and bought what I thought was a pure gold chain (yeah they did the “acid” test to “prove” it was “pure” gold). Six moinths later the gold starts flaking off and I see what looks like a plastic skeleton of a chain underneath. I felt like an idiot. So tell him he’s not alone...: )

Probably not. I was recently at a jeweler that was one of the few retailers in our are that carries Omega watches, and they had a big sign up front declaring it a gun free zone, which I promptly ignored. The "security guard" on site was unarmed unless, like me he completely ignores such unconstitutional signage.
Ive seen security guards unarmed at the mall before so this wouldn’t surprise me. I dont get the purpose of having a security guard if he is just gonna stand there unarmed makes no sense
You are exactly right. There are all kinds of dangers that come with living in a free country. We've got car jackings and burglaries, etc, but now we have had a dramatic increase in murders and rapes by illegal scumbags who are not being kept locked up. They are being but let loose instead of being deported or sent off to prison... i.e. Kate Steinle and the elderly woman who was raped then murdered. I should have gotten my carry permit long ago but I keep putting it off.
