If India can put up a 2700 mile fence on its border with Pakistan, floodlight it at night so it can be seen from the space station, AND build a slightly shorter one on their border with Bangladesh, why can’t the USA build a meaningful fence and floodlight it to keep the invaders from digging under it or building over it at night? Our failure shows our weakness of character, not a lack of money.

“why can’t the USA build a meaningful fence”

It’s not that we “cant”. The Cheap Labor Express don’t wanna.

Irony: Raytheon, a US defense contractor, has been helping Saudi Arabia build a massive, multi-layer security fence along their border with Yemen.

But we can’t get a simple barbed wire and metal fence along OUR border built, despite a much greater economic strain under the load of illegal immigrants and their kids on social services and employment, much less the crime.
