Shutter factories for two weeks? Is that a normal thing over there? Boeing always shuts down between Christmas and New Years. It’s the only time they do it. Is that what we are talking about?

If it's the Beijing area, that's not unexpected given that the 70th Anniversary celebration at Beijing of the end of World War II in China is going to be GIGANTIC from all the reports people heard--it's supposed to be even bigger than the celebration in Moscow for V-E Day that happened back on 8 May 2015. As such, they want to shut down all factory operations to "clear the air" and have more people in the street as spectators to that celebration.
