The Ted Cruz that would rather define birthright citizenship via trying to pass a Constitutional Amendment, vs. Trump who, like Levin, says the 14th amendment DOES NOT give birthright citizenship, and only needs to follow law as written.Yea that Cruz. The most brilliant constitutional lawyer that's ever walked into a court room...Never mind that he said something completely different in 2011.
Legislate, talk, debate is all he knows...period.
... "As much as someone may dislike the policy of birthright citizenship, it's in the U.S. Constitution. And I don't like it when federal judges set aside the Constitution because their policy preferences are different."
His wife Heidi is more qualified to be president than he will ever be.
Bad language choice. Heidi is a leftist with ties to groups that want open borders.
That might explain Cruz's definition of amnesty as only being "a pathway to citizenship," but otherwise thought that giving 40 million illegal aliens legal status was a good idea. Cruz also opposed the idea of challenging birthright citizenship maybe just a year or two ago.
Trump is better on Immigration, the most important issue of this election. Cruz falls short and thus can't be allowed the top part of the ticket.
