Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders will be breaking from the Democratic Party and running for president as a third party, a move that "would all but guarantee a catastrophic split in the Democratic vote and ensure a Republican victory," Ed Klein confidential reports, citing sources inside Sanders' campaign.
"Sources say Sanders believes that despite his ever-growing crowds of fired-up supporters, he'll never overcome Hillary's or, for that matter, (Vice President Joe) Biden's advantage in money, organization and endorsements," Klein writes.
"In Bernie's opinion, Hillary is owned by Wall Street and is a hawk," according to a source characterized by the political columnist as a "Sanders' top campaign officials."
"The decision hasn't been made when to make the announcement to go independent," according to the source, thought it's likely to occur when Clinton "starts piling up delegates with the help of Wall Street money and her formidable ground operation."

” If Bush is the Republican then I would hope to see the GOP come in last by a big a big number.”
+1
Bernie's wrong... Hillary's owned by more than just Wall Street...
Trump does need the money. He has $300 million in liquid assets, but it takes !.5 billion to run for the presidency. Where is he going to get the cash?
This should be interesting.........the Dems are imploding ... now if we can sink Jeb ... things look rosey.
Well, he said he expects money to come into the party once he wins the primary.
Maybe he can sell a hotel for the rest?
The RNC. So far all he has used is his Twitter account!
Trump is still making money. He makes about 400 million this year, and is expected to make the same next year. Now add it all up.
I suppose he could be a good “protest vote” if the GOP nominates their usual worthless hack...
No offense, but that post should have been accompanied with a “trigger warning” or a “barf alert”...
;-)
They like to say Nader lost Florida for Gore, but that can't really be proved because many, if not most would not have bothered to wake up and vote if Nader wasn't on the ballot. Besides, it is truly disgusting when either party (D) or (R) thinks these votes are theirs in the first place.
There is one bad thing about him splitting. We lose the glorious opportunity to witness another chaotic rioting spectacle like 1968 when Daley had his rank and file (D)emocrats beat the crap out of the Hayden-Hoffman radicals. All the ingredients are there: lily white suburban socialists, BLM, rank and file Clintonians. It is the (D)ummycrat isotope fissioned into its core constituents. Let the neutrons fly!

Bernie had a lucid moment? Of course he’s swerved into a basic Truth that the Occupy Wall Street kids a just starting to grasp.
I’ve wondered how he can run Democrat since he IS an Independent.
We’d need more way than 3 libs evenly splitting the vote to be assured of winning DC. I doubt Carson on the ticket would make all that much difference. And in this preposterous scenario that’s laid out, I would presume the Clinton/Bush ticket would compete for the White RINO vote.
possible that Trump or Cruz could win far more votes than the second place
Not Trump or Cruz, think Trump and Cruz.
This is I believe the crux of their cooperation.
They both saw monkey business with the delegates months ago, and have a plan to counteract.
I hope you’re right.
