Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz was seemingly unhappy with a question on immigration Tuesday night from Fox News host Megyn Kelly, telling her it was something he’d expect to be asked from a “liberal journalist.”
Kelly asked the Texas senator the same question Donald Trump faced on the cable-news network Monday.
“If you have a husband and a wife who are illegal immigrants, and they had two children here who are American citizens — would you deport all of them? Would you deport the American citizen children?” she asked.
Cruz replied that politicians should first tackle immigration by focusing on issues of bipartisan agreement, including stopping illegal immigration and “improve and streamline” legal immigration.
“But that doesn’t sound like an answer,” an unsatisfied Kelly said.
“Well, what I’m doing Megyn is answering what I think Congress should do,” Cruz quipped back, again listing steps he thinks Congress should take on immigration....

I’ve been told, and I myself believed, that he was the best debater on stage.
That's not possible. Children of illegal immigrants are NOT automatically citizens.
What kind of a parent would leave their children behind? My kids go where I go.
Yes I agree with the self repatriation to their home nation concept.
Admittedly, I didn’t see the Cruz interview, so I can’t say much definitively. I’ve been commenting based on what others observed and reported.
I never thought of him as stupid, either. Then again, I have recognized that some people have an aptitude for math or other technical skills, but have a tough time with verbal arts. The person that has issues communicating may not be dumb, its just that they may be smart in a different way.
I put that under the same file as the “wimp” father of his that flew planes off of aircraft carriers in WW2, was shot down 3 times and refused a stateside training assignment every time it was offered. That “wimp”.
Of course, our objective journalists would never just label somebody with an undeserving pejorative for political purposes, now would they?
Do you know that Kelly has consistently ripped
the Obama administration and liberals from Holder
to Pelosi and from Clinton to Dingy Harry? Sure
you haven’t already been boycotting FOX?
