Megan Kelly, an attorney, a television journalist with the second biggest audience for cable news asked a question with a false premise, for that she can and should be criticized. She pushed Cruz for opposing a questionable interpretation of the fourteenth amendment. A fair question would be to the effect that the implementation of the fourteenth amendment since about 1898 and certainly the modern practice is to assume that all children born in America except diplomats kids, are automatic citizens. But she didn't do that she claimed that there was no question but that this interpretation is the meaning of the fourteenth amendment and wanted to know how Cruz could oppose the fourteenth amendment or how could Cruz oppose her false premise.

That kind of criticism of Kelly has merit and is worthy of our time.

Kelly was quite right in pointing out the inconsistencies between Cruz'statement on her program and the previous statement which she quoted. That is perfectly fair journalism.

Cruz dodged the question about expelling children who are citizens. He should have hit that out of the park saying that you may not expel citizens. The hard part of the question is what do you do with her parents, especially parents of children of tender years. Instead, Cruz counterattacked saying the Kelly wanted to transfer the attention to the place where liberals, including Obama, wanted to be which is on the deportation of 11 million illegal residents. He needs a better answer as many FReepers have fairly pointed out in this thread. I say all this is a Cruz supporter.

All this fuss and feathers about Megan Kelly being inappropriate in this interview is so far off the mark it can only be understood as a need to shore up Donald Trump's performance in the debate and his postdebate tweets against Kelly. I said then and I say now, he is punching a tar baby.

Kelly, I suspect, was doing what her bosses at FOX News wanted her to do in going after both Trump & Cruz. Hannity, for all his faults, will not be bullied into the same behavior. What is pissing most people off on FR is the obvious slant FOX is using against both Trump & Cruz to try & discredit them.

She’s proven that she can be used....so it’s understandable IMO that most out here no longer trust anything she does or says. FOX has poisoned the well.
