It’s the bizarre Millennial impulse toward self-disclosure.

It’s odd that many of the types who volunteer their info on social media also rant on about Micdosoft, Google et al gathering their information.

Yes, they think their self disclosure puts them “in control”. It’s naive. A scam artist can assemble an accurate and detailed picture of a person’s life from “selective” tweets or FB posts.

There’s a difference between fully public disclosure and disclosure to a circle of friends and acquaintances. I don’t think social media are entirely bad.
