Nah ... let him repent on the way to the death chamber. Maybe then he'll have clarity of the evil he has done and the need to ask God for forgiveness, then face His judgment.

I think he needs to have his life taken away for what he did as society's measure of the value of innocent human life (although it's clear that our society fails us in myriad ways on this).
