Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe (D) stated, “there are too many guns in the hands of people who should not have guns. This is why I’ve long advocated for background checks” in an interview on the shooting of a reporter and a cameraman on Washington DC’s WTOP radio, portions of which were broadcast on Wednesday’s “CNN Newsroom.”

So Trump has no core principles. We know that.
Bottom line: thanks to Trump’s $25K donation, I have him to thank, in part, for putting one of the most lowlife sleazebags ever to exist in my state’s governor’s mansion.
There is no way you can spin donating to that POS, though I’m not surprised to see the attempt.
And though there are plenty more reasons, that one alone is enough to guarantee I would never vote for Trump.

McAwful is SUCH a slimeball .... can’t wait until he’s gone since we do have term limits for governors here. My only satisfaction will be if Hilly has to get out of the presidential race ..... McAwful’s election was a strategic move and his job/goal was to deliver Virginia for her in the 2016 presidential race & I’d love to see him (and especially her) thwarted.

It doesn’t appear Trump contributed to McDonnell’s campaign.Actually, he did or I wouldn't have said it. Google "Trump contributed to Terry McAuliffe's campaign" and you will see.

Sorry to break it to you Terry but we have background checks and multiple other “gun laws”. Problem with gun laws is that criminals and evil people don’t really give a crap about them so they don’t follow them. I know, I know, that is a hard concept for you to follow but believe me, it is true.............

I applied for gun permit here in Georgia about 6 weeks ago. I was finger printed, and an exhaustive search followed. A few weeks later my permit was denied because there was something on my record from college when I was picked up with three other college students with a case of beer in the trunk. That happened in 1970.
I finally got my permit. Who says there aren’t background checks?
