I hope he made peace with his Maker before he died, but I’m glad the State of VA doesn’t have to spend millions of dollars convicting him (even though it was on video), housing him through his five million appeals, and then finally commuting his sentence because he’s 90 years old.

Nah... It's better this way. I for one didn't want my tax dollars supporting this scum in prison for 15-20 years, paying for his attorneys, etc. And never forget that some leftist governor (or POTUS) could simply commute the sentence after he was "reformed".

That is the best outcome for which we can hope. Someone earlier suggested that he should live so that he could get a needle in his arm.
That outcome is far from likely, and would grant him far too much remaining time on this Earth. His death would simply save everyone a lot of trouble and a lot of money.

That would be fine except for the fact that the system is broken and can no longer be counted on to actually do executions. Did you see what happened to that Aurora Colorado shooter? He got life in Prison, or as I like to put it, "The tax payers were sentenced to life in Prison."
