I think his point was that in the perps mind, she did. His point was that the media in general aids and abets many of these nut case shootings in recent years.

Prior to recent years, nuts were just nuts....but after the "going postal" string of violent shootings,(decades ago) the media seems to have actually stirred the pot by their foolish attempts to label, blame and name and shame people, groups and the white race for all the world's ills and angers.

The nuts then take note and it fuels or excuses, justifies, explains their hatred and that results in action at some point.

So yeah, in this case, but only generalizing it, the victims might actually have some liability.

If this were a legal case (generally speaking) for a damage claim in a civil court, there would be a rational way to access a monetary cost for the media's share of the causation.

Not saying this would ever happen, but hypothetically, it could.
