So does my dad and with non diabetic neuropathy in his feet. It scares the hell out of me that one day he’s going to fall, bust himself open and blled out.
I’m 64. My heart’s E/R is 32. My kidneys operate at 39%. (Damaged by the dye that was put in me twice in four days because the first cardiologist put the stents in wrong.) I have Type II diabetes and neuropathy. My feet are numb but they still hurt and keep me up at night. And I take Coumadin.
But none of that means I’m going to die someday. We’re all going to die someday. It just might make me die a little earlier than normal. So I’m going to enjoy the time I got left and be thankful that I won’t be around to see the worst of America.
I feel bad for your Dad, neuropathy of any kind is a damned nuisance. I could write a thousand word essay on the different and varied symptoms. The other day I woke up to my big toe ringing like an electric bell. 12-15 kinetic impulses per second, lasted for damn near 2 minutes. Being on my feet actually reduces my symptoms.
