Who wrote this crap??? George Will?
And why hasn’t Will moved to the liberal utopia of Venezuela yet, that is what he advocates for the US.
This phenomena reminded me of a line from Ayn Rand:
"If we look at modern intellectuals, we are confronted with the grotesque spectacle of such characteristics as militant uncertainty, crusading cynicism, dogmatic agnosticism, boastful self-abasement and self-righteous depravity in an atmosphere of guilt, of panic, of despair, of boredom and of all-pervasive evasion. This new phenomenon I have dubbed "evangelical cynicism." (not to be confuse with religious evangelism, but parallels do give one pause.)
So to those who have set for themselves the goal of spreading the gospel of cynicism: may your labors continue to reward you with the sour fruits they so richly deserve.
So he is a conservative and a liberal.
I actually think he is. A moderate democrat with some ultra-conservative stances.
As such he wouldn’t have a prayer as a Democrat. At least not as a Presidential Candidate.
Trump is a RINO of another color. Anti-illegal/Pro-wall. But the Republican Establishment won’t let Trump join in on all their RINO games?
Because the behind the scene battle, the power brokers, is not about liberal or conservative. Its about an agenda driven policy that is about grabbing more power and more money.
The power brokers could give a damn about your miserable life, your silly Constitution or your principaled positions. Unless it is to manipulate you into supportiing their agenda...i mean candidate.
None the less, Trump is likable in a wierd sort of way.
Honestly, my favorite thing about Trump is that liberals hate him. As for who I think would make a great president, I would go with Cruz. But I am loving watching liberals’ heads explode over The Donald.
