First of all there is no Trump tax plan as of yet, just trial balloons. Trumps own words, just this last week:
“I would let people who are making hundreds of millions of dollars a year pay some tax,” Trump said during an interview with Bloomberg News on Wednesday. “Because right now, they’re paying very little tax. I think it’s outrageous.”
What does this signal to you?

It could signal that he thinks there are high earners out there who use certain loopholes to pay next to nothing in taxes. Maybe he wants to get rid of the loopholes and follow the plan in his book. (and put guys who call themselves ‘taxman’ out of business)
