What nonsense

AIPAC spending estimated $40 million to oppose Iran Deal - See more at: http://mondoweiss.net/2015/08/spending-estimated-million#sthash.6qi3aFnd.dpuf

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is throwing mountains of money around in an attempt to derail the Iran nuclear deal.

Mondoweiss reported in early August that AIPAC’s education wing was taking all but three freshmen House Representatives on a visit to Israel in hopes of sabotaging the US government’s negotiations with Iran.

A few days later, the New York Times picked up the story. It reported that 58 congresspeople—including 22 Democrats and 36 Republicans—in total would be traveling to Israel in August.

The Times also revealed just how much money AIPAC is hemorrhaging in hopes of stymieing the international diplomacy between the P5+1 (the US, the UK, France, China, and Russia, as well as Germany) and Iran.

In the first half of 2015, AIPAC spent approximately $1.7 million lobbying Congress to oppose the deal. Yet this is mere chump change compared to what it has since funneled into advertisements and lobbying.

AIPAC created a new tax-exempt lobbying group in July called Citizens for a Nuclear Free Iran. The sole purpose of the organization is to oppose the Iran deal—which, in spite of the name of the group, will in fact prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons (weapons the Iranian government denies ever even seeking in the first place, and for which there is not a shred of evidence) in return for an end to Western sanctions on the country.

Citizens for a Nuclear Free Iran is spending up to $40 million to place anti-Iran deal ads in 35 states, according to the Times, up from a previous estimate of $20 million. This figure may increase even more as the 60-day period in which Congress can review the deal draws to a close.

It is treason. The question is, how are enemy governments able to buy our politicians? Are there no laws in our favor?

On the airwaves, the most prominent ads opposing the nuclear agreement have been coming from a 501(c)(4) nonprofit group called Citizens for a Nuclear Free Iran. It’s supported by one of the biggest opponents to the deal — the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC.

AIPAC and Citizens for a Nuclear Free Iran plan to spend between $20 million and $40 million on this fight. That range vastly dwarfs the $5 million its main adversary has to spend — J-Street, a pro-Israel group that supports the deal.

J-Street has been flying in prominent Israelis to visit with lawmakers, such as retired Gen. Amram Mitzna, a former mayor of Haifa and former member of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. Their message? You can still be pro-Israel and disagree with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who adamantly opposes the deal.

“I’m representing many, many other retired officials from the army, from the intelligence branches, from the foreign office,” said Mitzna. “Many of us do feel that we have to support and to back the U.S. with this deal.”

Oh this is treason. We’ve always known that they were bought and this latest development is another nqil in their coffin. The whole damn Congress (-save very few) and the President were bought and paid for. It may be time to light the torches and start smoking out the vipers.

How are there no laws against this? And if there are, how are there no prosecutions?

.... How is this not treason?

From a historical perspective, this is like our politicians taking money from the German Nazis so yes, it is treason. These corrupt politicians are so full of themselves, they cannot see it for themselves or don't care because who is going to hold them accountable? Just more freakin' lawlessness from our corrupt government officials.

Here's the IAPAC website

On the right side of the page is found candidates that IAPC has supported since 2004. Click on it and you will find republicans and democrats.

If you look at Americans Jews, about half of them support the Iran agreement. J Street, the Israeli Lobby group, supports.
