Cruz is a politician. Trump is an entertainer. That’s why the difference in venues. Ted Cruz would not be able to fill 20-30K in a stadium....yet. That’s not his style nor where he’s seeking an audience. Trump would never hold an event in a high school gym or a community center. That’s not his style or type of audience he’s seeking. Two different styles and methods, one goal. IMO.

I like both, Cruz and Trump, and I think both are good for the sorry a** GOP and for the nation. Now, I am not one of those who believes that Trump will "tire" of the process and drop out, that's silly. But, I do think that even though many of us appreciate what he has accomplished, I think in the voting booth a lot of people will go for Cruz.Trump will probably NOT win Evangelical Iowa, but, Cruz will. That has a psychological effect on people's psyche; and after that, more folks in NH and SC will vote Cruz even though they love Trump. Cruz will be the "surprise" horse coming out of the middle of the pack to the Victor's Circle. And that will be the best thing. We FReepers love Donald, but, he is a little too much for the majority of the Electorate; he kinda scares 'em. But, I hope he keeps doing what he's doing as long as he can.
