Mark Steyn summed up MASH well, “it was set in the Korean War, but was really about the Vietnam War, and seemed to run as long as the Hundred Years War”.
But for the fact that death comes for us all and that the actors were mortal, MASH probably WOULD have lasted longer than the 100 Years’ War if the Hollywood left (but I repeat myself) had its way. Personally, I hope that Mark Steyn will have his chance at the gold ring. If Rush should ever (God forbid!) retire or be unable to continue, Steyn should be next in line. As always, he is right that the show was really part of the propaganda against the effort to defeat Ho Chi Minh.
