Oh please. That’s such a pie-in-the-sky solution. Let’s start making parents be responsible. Yeah, that’s going to happen.
Whether it’s realistic or not, whether it will take a really long time, it’s arguably the best solution. It can complement with other actions. But in the current climate that possibility can’t even be mentioned without haranguing and name-calling, which immediately derails any discussion.
They don’t usually have “parents” in the plural, but just a mother...who is often no better than they are. And they’re surrounded by an entire culture that lives on violence and hated. So even if mom is fine, there’s not much she can do.
Quick capture and quick punishment are the only things that work.
Parents? What parents?
How about we make these ‘parents’ 3/5ths responsible.
That would stir up the rabble.
And be entertaining.
