He’s running for POTUS and talking about ballroom seating.

Speaking of going into the weeds, it seems you're doing that yourself. But this is what large-scale doers do. They're constantly looking at the little things that add up to big things. More than once, I've had coffee-shop lunches with multi-millionaires who were watching the cash register out of the corner of their eye and computing the business's annual gross as we talked—and then telling me the number later.

I don't know exactly what kind of President this guy would make. More middle-of-the-road than I would like, is my guess, just because, being practical, he would get the lay of the land and focus on what is do-able. But I have to say that his eye for what is on people's minds is remarkable—which I guess is not that remarkable, for someone who has been in retail and marketing in front of millions of people most of his adult life.

But leading a country is the ultimate big-scale job requiring vision, and he has shown that he's good at that. It will be an interesting campaign—for once.

In any case, if he wins the nomination I’ll vote for Trump. The only one I’d rule out is Bush.
