It is what the Alaskans have wanted for years.

Of course, McKinley was a Republican, and so Obama’s real motivation is obvious.
I’ve spent many years on rock and ice, been invited to do Denali a couple of times; needed to earn a living.
I have NOT heard it called McKinley since forever!
I guess FUBO loves GM vehicles. No way he knew anything about the name of this mountain or even where it was amoungst the 57 states till someone told him how he could stick another finger into the eye of white America.
He must wake up each morning and select something to do that will pi$$ me off!
I hope President Cruz does it in his inaugural address.
Next will be changing Mount Washington in NH to Mt Obama.
Obama is not really the one to do this...blame it on Murkowski and Sullivan..of the GOP...they filed the legislation.
Change the park's name back to Mt. McKinley National Park, as it was known before the Jimmy Carter presidency.
“It would be funny if the name were changed back the first week after the teleprompter leaves office.”
Mt Reagan has a nice ring to it.
Meanwhile, in south Florida, black law-makers are renaming Old Dixie Highway to...drum roll please, Barack Obama Highway.
They have to because racism.
I’ve heard that nobody in Alaska call it McKinley.
Yup, every Alaskan I’ve known and talked about it with (quite a few, actually, and all Conservatives) call it Denali. Going back to when Reagan was in office.
This name change is noise, it’s a destraction from much more important issues. It’s bait for Conservatives to go after Obama on an obscure issue few care about and those that do have the numbers and history on their side.
However, if you really want to mess with Liberals, point out that the mountain now bears the name of some of the most gas-guzzling, non-green mass produced vehicles out there: GMC’s Yukon Denali line of SUVs.
Since when does the President name mountains?
I would not go so far as to call Obama President, but....
Wait... this isn’t satire?
