President Obama was forced to address the question of whether he is anti-Semitic.
In an interview – out today – with the editor of Forward, a publication that covers Jewish American issues, Obama was asked about the charge:
Then, I asked, does it hurt you personally when people say that you’re anti-Semitic?
“Oh, of course,” he answered quietly, leaning back in his chair, a cup of tea on an adjacent table still untouched. “And there’s not a smidgen of evidence for it, other than the fact that there have been times when I’ve disagreed with a particular Israeli government’s position on a particular issue.”
A president whose relations are so bad that the issue of his possible personal anti-Semitism arises. Never heard of that one before.
There’s that “smidgeon” word again.
Didn’t he use “smidgen” when commenting on the IRS scandal?
So upset with the question he couldn’t touch his hot tea. Brings tears to the eyes, doesn’t it?
I suppose a “smidgeon” is akin to a “dime”, as in “The Affordable Health Care Act won’t add one dime to the deficit.”
Perhaps he’s reading vocabulary lists and that’s the word of the week?
Not all Semites are Jews and most American Jews are Progressives. So, technically, he is anti-Israel, but not anti-Semite or anti-Jew. I’m sure that when he is alone with President Valerie, they use the word “Zionist” a lot.

It really doesn’t matter what most politicians say. It’s what they do that matters. They’ll say anything. That’s what enables them to survive in the cesspool that is politics.
Saying “there is no evidence” is what guilty people say. The innocent just say it isn’t true.

OBAMA: That's not what I'm saying.
O'REILLY: I want to know what you're saying. You're the leader of the country.
OBAMA: Absolutely.
O'REILLY: You're saying no corruption, none?
OBAMA: There was some bone-headed decisions.
O'REILLY: Bone-headed decisions. But no mass corruption?
OBAMA: Not even mass corruption. Not even a smidgeon of corruption.

He can plausibly deny he is anti Semitic but he is clearly anti Zionist. He views the world not with a comprehensive historical view but through the prism of perceived racism and oppression. He clearly sympathizes with the Palestinians. He views them as a displaced third world people who are oppressed by white privilege.
Note that he didn’t say that he’s not anti-Semitic; just that there wasn’t any evidence of it.
