A few years back my wife and I were visiting a different church, while introducing myself to one man, I proffered my hand, he looked at my hand like it was full of poopie.

He told me that he didn’t shake hands and then went into an overly long explanation as to why he didn’t. It was the disease passing reason.

O.K., I get it but it was the first and only time it has happened to me and I must say it was a feeling of humiliation that flooded over me.

Why not just carry a small package of those anti bacterial wipes with you and at the first discreet opportunity, sterilize your hands?

All you need to do is not touch your eyes/mouth/nose until you can get to a bathroom and wash your hands. Not too complicated.

Those wipes help a little, but they are not all that good.

I use the same hand soap that doctors use to clean hands. I had to keep from catching respiratory ailments. So far, so good. I wash before leaving home and after I get home being very careful to not wipe my eyes, mouth, and nose.
