Just the opposite has happened to me. My kid was on a club soccer team and 3/4 of the players parents were from Mexico and Central America. At one practice, 5 of the Dads were talking along the sideline, and as I approached the group, they all switched from Spanish to English before they even acknowledged me.

Anyone ever been in a workplace with Hispanics who are bilingual English/Spanish, and they all speak Spanish to each other right in front of English only speakers? In the workplace, this is about as *&%#*^ rude as one can get.

Btw, I don't know where you're at but I can assure you, that isn't the norm in the southwest. So much so there has been a million complaints to stop this in the work place due to all the complaints from English only speakers.

It's totally disrespectful to the folks who have to endure this in a workplace environment day in and day out.

I highly suspect you’re fabricating every word of that little story.

Btw, Houston like LA is turning into just another 3rd world dumping ground. It’s no secret.

I just read 1 in 4 in Houston are now foreign born. I was published today.
