We could take over these failed countries, then return their citizens, and give them a helping hand. Fix the problem so they stop coming here. Plus, deny them jobs and jail employers, deny them benefits, eliminate birthright citizenship.

The west tried that and it was rather successful for several hundred years. They called it colonization. Then they gave them their independence and the places became hell holes... and now those people want to again live with their former “masters”.
Recolonization may the only solution to the third world problem - but it ain’t going to happen.

With what/who’s money? Everything south of our southern border is corrupt to the core, or at least the majority of it is, and with each change of “leadership” one country after another down there turns “Venezuelan” until the next revolution. We need to seal our border and let them figure things out for themselves without our money or our troops. Can you imagine the time and cost involved in just fixing Mexico? That is if it could ever be done at all.
