I’ve been three times so far and missed this year by a hair. I’m an engineer and go with a band of similar top professionals. It’s basically an open space to do anything and try new ideas with plenty of people willing to try anything.
My last time was spent 100% sober in lectures, workshops and simply speaking to people I thought interesting along my path. I have several patents attributable to my experiences there. Most top creative firms send teams of people there to explore for ideas.
Yes, there are lectures on very counterculture topics and many new ideas are born here. It’s very understandable why the ruling class would want their agents to infiltrate.
