Donald Trump: Nuclear deal calls for US to defend Iran against Israeli attack
The Jerusalem Post ^ | September 3, 2015 | Staff

"If Israel attacks Iran according to that deal, I believe... that we have to fight with Iran against Israel," Republican presidential candidate tells CNN. In a telephone interview with CNN Tuesday, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump said that under the auspices of the Iran nuclear agreement, if Israel were to attack the Islamic Republic, the United States would have to come to the Tehran's aid.

Trump has vocally opposed the deal since announcing his run for president, saying that the United States "should have doubled up the sanctions for another couple of months" and that the 24-day notice Iran receives before sites can be inspected is unacceptable.

But Trump added an unconventional twist to the opposition argument, suggesting that under the terms of the deal the United States was required to fight alongside Iran if Israel were to attack.

"You know, there is something in the Iran deal that people I don't think really understand or know about," the real estate mogul said. "And nobody is ever to explain it that if somebody attacks Iran, we have to come to their defense."

While the deal is terrible I need to see the language on that before I believe it.

Gunny, come on. You know better. 1) Any impeachment has to start in the House. The House as it now stands can't even defund Planned Murderhood, let alone impeach His Royal Kenyan-ness. 2) The process itself takes a good two years as we saw with Clinton. ZEro will be gone then.

3) Most importantly, it would be a sideshow. Imagine, in fact, if against all odds the House did impeach ZEro but the Senate dragged out an acquittal til the end of the election season. It would be about poor old Barry all over again, NOT fixing this mess and killing this stupid deal.

No, the solution is to put Trump in and let him be Trump, rip up the deal tell the Iranians to go to hell and so on.

So, a good reason for Israel to wait until Jan 2017 to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The USA has been threatening obliquely to shoot down IDF jets should thy launch against Iran since BUSH. There were also hints about invading Palestine” to end “apartheid.” If these things could happen under Bush then Hussein would have no qualms about doubling down and making the threats directly and on paper.

“So, a good reason for Israel to wait until Jan 2017 to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.”

Will Iran wait until then?

No telling what Iran might do. But Obama and Kerry assure us that their deal is OK, and that Iran is many years away from the nuclear bomb. Would they lie to us?/s

I agree 100% - forget about getting rid of the Traitor-in-Chief until 1/20/17. Gum up the works as much as possible to prevent further damage to our nation, to be sure, but forget him. Concentrate on electing a successor who will charge headlong into the task of reversing damned near everything that he has done. This requires someone with lots of experience being in charge, of managing people, of taking responsibility for his decisions, and who doesn’t give a rat’s arse what his opponents think.

There can be only one. Hint: its the tall guy with the big ego and bad hairstyle from New York. He’s the guy who told his first real estate professor in the Wharton Business School in 1966 that he was going to be “the king of New York real estate.” He is that person now, and has been for more than a decade - he accomplishes his goals.

Yeah, I think EVEN if we had serious guys who would pursue Zero at this point, it would probably so screw up the dynamics of the election that it would put Cankles in.

Let's just say this: if I were a Dem, I would WANT there to be an impeachment process...starting right now. Take the attention off of the emails and off of Trump.

But I am not a Dem, so I say that we should avoid it at all costs, and even avoid talking about it. It helps nothing, sad to say (because he deserves it).

Donald Trump: Nuclear deal calls for US to defend Iran against Israeli attack.

As long as Hussein is president, that is meaningless. Hussein lies about everything.

After he's gone, it is also meaningless. "Agreement" gone bye-bye.

Invade by whom?
The U.N.?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haHa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Since the U.S. can refuse to participate, even in its funding, it can't happen. Just thinking about it makes me laugh. Under no circumstances, can I imagine Congress authorizing an attack on Israel. Constitutionally, only Congress can declare war, right?

RIGHT?

And I triple-dog dare any president to order an attack on Israel. I think our military has not deteriorated to the point that they would obey an unconstitutional order.
Additionally, any county or countries who insist would be the first victims of the "Palestinians."

A beautiful "twofer"

What a naïve statement!

Why do you suppose that Barack Hussein will not allow anyone to see it?

Brezhinski suggested it and it got some echoes. Brezhinski was not a Bush official but would not have said it without some prodding. The suggestion was that the USA might have to do that thing.

I don't think it was a "serious" suggestion but meant to keep the Israelis worried. And at this point, if Hussein orders IDF jets to be shot down they will be shot down. The military has been pretty thoroughly purged right down to company level. There are few "unreliable" commanders or even lower grade officers or even ncos left in positions to buck such an order. I have that from some current participants in our military who are trying to hang on until maybe things get better.
