It was a banner and it was blocking access to the Trump Towers. The security guard just ‘walked through it’.

Knowing Trump as we do, I imagine that Schiller told Trump what was going on and Trump OK'd this move on Schiller's part either because a large signs can hide weapons and as such are a security risk or perhaps Schiller wanted to create a scene to let the protesters know security was going to be hard on them (i.e. knock it off).
Trump doesn't put up with shiite. The Black Lives Matter crowd should take note.
