You guys that are so against Trump need to take a cleansing breath! We have not even made it to the first primary. You act like this is a game of checkers. It ain’t. It is chess. Really deep chess. Think military strategy.

Trump is our Patton. Just point him at the enemy. He is fully engaged. Ripping them a new one. Don’t regin him in, let him go! He is what is needed at this point. There will be others put into play, I suspect, as things move along and if the time is right to put a Walker or Cruz into motion they are in the bullpen. Maybe Trump gets all the way to “Berlin” or not, who knows. Berlin ain’t DC and I was pretty young at the time but I thought Ike made a pretty good president. Some would have wished Patton could be president. Maybe this time he will. Maybe this time we will “get what you need.”. To quote Mick Jagger.

We may none of us agree on who is perfect but I think we are in perfect agreement on who the enemy is. No more RINOs. Kill the Rat/enemedia complex. Let us get our priorities in order here. At this point we are just preparing the battlefield and I am impressed. We have for the first time in decades a battlefield that we could actually overwhelm our enemy. Praise God for it. That he is using a whack job like Trump, so much the better. IIRC that is “the way He rolls”.

I do not trust Donald Trump, but there is no doubt in my mind he would be an improvement over our current president.

I see Trump more as a way of extorting the GOPee. Sort of, “Get behind Cruz or we are gonna ram Trump up your ...”

Hoping this is the case.

BTW, I think CW has done an excellent job of using this forum to bolster Walker and bad-mouth Trump. Heavy-handed but gets up early in the morning to start posting on FR in favor of Walker and against Trump.

Has convinced me that I'll NEVER vote for Walker, no matter what or who.

Would such a man really be an improvement on the current president?

Still firmly pro-Cruz but anyone who answers the question with a negative needs to have their meds adjusted....

For geherty to even pose this question, proves, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that he hates Trump and is an asshole.

NRO is pretty much unhinged Trump hate central. Taking NRO articles about Trump as unbiased is kind of like reading articles from Salon to form an opinion of Walker.

Exactly.

And I’m being asked to pledge my fidelity to Donald Trump, a man who now tells us how terrible Obamacare is AFTER he talked up universal healthcare, financially supported Hillary Clinton (Hillarycare), Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi (Obamacare) — when not one Republican voted for it.

Now, after helping the Left shove through Obamacare, Trump comes riding in on a white horse telling us he’ll fix it.

Untrue statement. No one here has asked this of you.

The idea that a man who boasts to reporters that he marries good pieces of #ss, doesn’t have the character to be president and expect respect, to be held up as someone my grandchildren should admire.

How do you define liar?

When Walker took three different positions in two days over anchor babies and deportation, which statement was a lie? Or does only Trump, when he switches positions lie, but Walker is just nuanced?

Yes they have.

You are saying the management of Free Republic has asked you to pledge to support Donald Trump.

No they haven't.

Now you've gone to the dark side.

You’re repeating a lie and you know it.

Just as with “anchor babies,” the “media” interprets Walker’s answer to a question and writes their own headline.

Then they said he had to clarify (the media’s mistake).

So now the story becomes that Walker changed his mind.

Interesting how that works.

They did the same thing with calls for building a Canadian wall, his wanting rapes on campus not reported, that he wants forced ultra sounds, etc.

You know the drill and you use it just like the people you say you’re opposing.

Nice how you twisted my words.

But not unexpected.

I’m remind, though, of those who said they’d rather not vote if the option is between Romney and Obama. Romeny would not have been a great conservative president, probably. But this type of idea that if I don’t get perfection I’ll accept a disaster assures we end up getting the worst option. Now, we are told, as you said, that the guy who has helped finance so many lefties - Hillary, Reid, and Schummer, to name a few - he’s the answer. His explanation that he was just buying politicians is to those who support him prove that it’s no big deal. Really, I’ve never given a penny to a Liberal. It seems like if you’re a conservative that’d be a pretty normal thing to be able to say.

That's an excellent point.

Trump has said, that supporting a Republican in New York (and I guess Illinois and Nevada and California) was throwing good money away.

Well, my question to Trump would be, why didn't you fund a campaign and run against Schumer or Hillary instead of supporting their elections?

Anyone here can read your words and see what you said.

No twisting of words necessary; you've shown your rear today. And YOUR willingness to distort. Your innocence is twisting in the wind now.

One of the prime directives in Rules for Radicals: Pick a target, isolate it, deflect from your own motives.

Walker is apparently circling the drain it seems (that's really too bad) and the advocacy has to be directed somewhere.

Yes. But if one makes a deal, there are contracts involved or people get sued. You must still uphold your part of the bargain.

No. Not Trump. As he so proudly and publicly boasted, on (I think 4 occasions) he used bankruptcy laws to get out of his deals, and that we shouldn't cry any tears for those investors because they're not angels.

How will he serve as president?
