Romans 13 is about good government. “God’s servant...for good.”
Believe it or not it was part of the founders argument against king George. It is a serious abuse of the passage to suggest it applies to any government action. When government becomes abusive of God given rights it is the duty of the people to change that government.

I'm all for letting people choose, but they need to choose.

Is she FAILING to change any minds? Push the question back on you.
And even if she isn’t, she is a natural point of separating fundamental good and evil.
There are some things for which the gradual approach is, frankly, an abomination.

I’m not sure what you mean.

LOL. Is that your purity test? He also “supported” Trump by attacking him constantly.
To: HiTech RedNeck
I can certainly see this hurting our chances at winning elections in the future because the left will point to this as an example of how “fundamentalist Christians” are trying to deny people rights and obstructing justice.
This is not a good image.
To: SoothingDave
Yes and we should tremble because people will lie?
We should welcome the airing of the, er, “DEBATE.”

I think the constitution already makes scotus the court of original jurisdiction when it involves a state. Appellate courts should have no jurisdiction over a state.

Absolutely. Heaven forbid that we should oppose same-sex marriage - or abortion - or illegal immigration - or "transgender rights"... If we do, it will be held up as an example of how we are trying to deny people rights and obstruct justice...
Oh, you mean they will say that about us anyway? Then what else can we cave on to make them say nice things about us?

What lie? She is refusing to grant licenses because she is upholding “God’s law.”
That doesn’t play well with people who just want the gov’t to limit itself and not dictate religion.

Are you a donor or not? The freepathon is ongoing and the site needs your cash. You spend a lot of time here, you call long time members trolls. Put your money where your mouth is if you haven’t already.

Why make yourself an easy target?
Or do you think “let’s fight the legitimacy of the SCOTUS on this issue” is a winner?
You do get that this woman is literally obstructing the operation of the gov’t because of her own religious beliefs, right?
To: SoothingDave
She isn’t sitting on a monopoly commodity however. And doubly so for those Ohio carpet baggers. So there is the hole in your argument.

Oh, yes, she is. She is the only one in her county that can issue this license.

A government that in a disciplined manner administers evil does not become a good government.
