Maybe they see a few Chinese war ships and hyper-sonic missiles as no big deal.

No - but it's one of those 'how long is a piece of string' questions as to which islands are considered part of the Aleutians. Geologically the Russian owned Komandorskie Islands are the western edge of the Aleutian chain, and so can be included in the group, but they are quite a way west of the westernmost US island and the term Aleutian has often been used by the US simply to refer to the other islands, mostly out of convenience.
