Did you see the sidewalk where he was standing? If so, was it the sidewalk (which is public) or was it on the concrete apron of the Trump Tower...WHICH IS PRIVATE!

If the sign and attack occurred on the public sidewalk, there’s questions to be answered. If it happened on the apron of the entrance to the Trump Tower it was TRESPASS and was illegal. The guard had every right to “dot his eyes” for his communistic disregard of private property.
When you can send me pictures of the sidewalk and where it joins the concrete apron to the tower, I will apologize and “eat crow” if he is standing on public property.
In the video, the man is standing on a sidewalk a couple of feet from the curb of a public road when the security guy grabs the sign. He is almost certainly in a public right of way.
I’m no one’s teacher, and certainly no liberal (the irony of a Trump supporter calling someone else a liberal is great, though). And if you watch the video, the protesters were plainly on the public sidewalk.
