The U.S. Attorney's Office in Denver said Thursday 17 of the people charged have been arrested and three remain at-large.
Authorities say warrants conducted in the southern Colorado towns of Cotopaxi and Westcliffe led to the seizure of 1,000 marijuana plants, 50 pounds of dried marijuana, and 28 firearms. Sheriff offices in Custer and Freemont counties helped execute the warrants Tuesday.

Fifty pounds and a thousand plants is less than nothing. Washington and Colorado are producing literally tons, not to mention how much the cartels are bringing in. The only danger in the pot market is that over supply is going to knock the bottom out of the market.

I’m leaning towards Trump’s solution. Legalize it, tax it and use the funds to educate people. You could empty the jails of all the pot related convictions.
We still will have a war on drugs because you have to draw the line some where.
All well and good, but what will you do with all of the chronically unemployed who won't pass the drug tests. I assume employers will still have the right to fire or not hire users.

I almost put on that post that Trump could wait until he had restored the jobs. But you're right, they won't be able to hold down a job. And will probably end up back in jail for crimes related to being underemployed, trying to steal to buy pot, or for being bi-polar.
But we are easing towards that anyway. We've lost 4 states and DC. Unemployment will be cheaper than prison.
I don't like the idea that legalization sounds like condonment. But if Trump does use the money for education, then maybe there's a better way.
Time to try something different. We can always go back to locking them all up if it doesn't work.

Some of them have been clean for some time now. Unless of course, guards are sneaking pot in. Depending on how much brain damage they accumulated before they got busted, they might actually be able to hold a job.
Ever been on one of these proselytizing pot threads? I expect that eventually laws will require everyone to smoke it. It apparently is the wonder of the ages, has no downsides and if you disagree with the Pot Evangelists you are evil too for denying people eternal life. Expect to see laws that protect pot smokers on the job, in stores, in schools.... they are truly the superior beings. Just ask one.

Actually, the original bust was in PA, which led to the CO operation. This is illegal under both CO and federal law.
