The first annual meeting of the nations that have ratified the 2014 Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) opened on Monday, August 24 at a spa in Cancún, Mexico. The treatys been controversial in the U.S. from the moment negotiations on it began, and this meeting will surely stoke the suspicions of those who think the treatys real aim is to crimp Americas sovereignty and constitutional liberties.
[Snip]
Mexicos theory is that, since any gun in the U.S. might at some point conceivably cross the U.S. border, all U.S. guns have to be controlled in the name of controlling the international arms trade.

Mexicos theory is that, since any gun in the U.S. might at some point conceivably cross the U.S. border How about we control the border and build that wall--stop those guns from going across? Give up arms and let them continue to flood us? It looks like Mexico is interested something more than human welfare. Go to *** Mexico!

If you sneak an American gun or even bullet across the border you can end up in a Mexican jail for an indeterminate but long time. On the other hand if you sneak a Mexican ..., well a Mexican Mexican across the border you get a pat on the head and sent on your way.

It is just a blame-the-gringo for whatever is wrong, internal political posture.
Let’s help them out with a wall that keeps illegals out and guns in. Easy peasy.
To: Zakeet
Don’t worry, Corker will offer an amendment negating the need to ratify the treaty as per the Constitution.

The Mexican people should rise up and fight this gun control...The only people in that crime infested country are the Cartels and the corrupt military...
Get some guns into the hands of the people and maybe they can clean that country up...
