Woman impregnated by mistake with black man’s sperm loses court case

A legal claim by a woman who gave birth to a mixed race baby after accidentally being impregnated with a black man’s sperm has been dismissed by a judge in Illinois.

Jennifer Cramblett sought damages from the Midwest Sperm Bank of Downers Grove, Illinois for wrongful birth and breach of warranty, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Ms Cramblett and her same sex partner bought sperm from the sperm bank.

But because of a clerical error, she was sent sperm provided by a black donor.

She doesn’t want to give up her daughter, now 3, whom she says she loves. She just wants a boatload of money because the daughter isn’t the white child she contracted for.

There’s no good outcome for the child. To be taken from her biological mother, who is apparently providing a comfortable upbringing, would be permanently traumatizing. On the other hand, life with a lesbian mother and various “partners” isn’t going to be easy, either ... and then she finds out that her mother tried to cash in because she was a “mistake.”

May God surround that darling little girl with a legion of angels.
