I wouldn't bet on it, though I'd like to believe that. Most of those fighting ISIS (or any other radical Moslems, for that matter) who are themselves Moslem, tend to be nothing more or less than a competing force...which is to say, the same level of ideologue/butcher, just less successful. They are, however, smart enough to tell us Westerners that they opposed or fought whatever group of the day that we Westerners are the most concerned about.
Let's let time tell on this particular guy, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for a Moslem version of Jefferson or Madison.
early on, there were many Syrians that crossed into turkey and were working with Syrian officers that defected. they were working with the coalition then in opposition to assad. this revolutionary group was overcome by the radical Islamic wackos that in effect stole the revolution.
for reasons we have not been told, obama abandoned this effort and deserted the coalition. that was a terrible error in judgement on his part. I believe that he wanted to be the all knowing commander and left in a huff when he had opposition from regional leaders with a much better grasp of the situation
remember, obama summoned the Kings and they did not come. that was a terrible slap in the face. he now seems to be attempting to admit his error and rejoin the effort as a player than supreme commander
