RCMP investigator Brahim Soussi did his best to persuade the 15-year-old suspect sitting across from him that they were not all that different. They were both Muslim immigrants from North Africa, eldest sons and Arabic speakers, he noted.
The boy, who had just been arrested for a convenience store armed robbery and was suspected of planning to leave Canada to join the jihad in Syria, was having none of it.
“You are a traitor,” the teen, who cannot be identified because he is a minor, told Soussi. He said that by working for the Canadian state, the police officer was complicit in “crimes against Muslims. … You betray your brothers. You are no longer their brother. You are an apostate.”
Over the course of the two-hour interview, a video of which was introduced as evidence at the teen’s trial in a Montreal court on Wednesday, he remained silent on most questions touching the robbery. But he could not resist spouting off when Soussi questioned his religious knowledge.
“I understand Islam better than you,” he told Soussi, citing as his source the father of Wahhabism, an austere form of Islam that interprets the Koran literally.

Past efforts to contain this disease have failed. Now, carriers of this Plague of Islam must be eradicated wherever they’re found, for if they’re not, this disease will eventually end not just Western Civilization, but it will undo over 5,000 years of human civilization.

I was going to say the same thing.
And that is the danger which too many of the people in the West close their eyes. The Koran preaches hate and destruction. If a so-called 'moderate muslim' gets that old-time religion bug - they also will become a 'radical' (aka: Koran believing muslim).
Christians understand because they once were probably Christians in name only - but now that they are reborn - they know God's Word is true, and they want to follow it. The also understand that the Islamic's 'Holy Book' was ghost written by Satan - and that 'moderate Muslims' are merely ticking time-bombs.
The view of the world from the eyes of Islam... and no, there is no distinction for moderate/extremist:
Dar Al-Harb: The world at war
Dar Al-Islam: The world submitted
You belong to one of these two worlds.
20 years ago, the person sitting across from you would have laughed and said, "Yeah and HOW are they going to get here."
