Hypothetical: if DC weren't an obscene dictatorship pretending to be an elected body representing us:

With this being passed, could the HOR file a lawsuit holding up the implementation of the deal? And then would it have to go to a sellout judge to be over-ruled so it goes through anyway?

Until the HOR uses their real power, which is to not fund stuff, it's all just theater.

186 members voted against a hard fact: Obama failed to turn over the required documentation.

Dem party line "trumps" reality. The historic president must be protected at all costs.

there are 186 members of the House who are voting against the welfare of the United States.

There needs to be a major cleansing of the traitors.

You are right of course. Dems will protect Obama at all costs. But the Dems totally own this deal now. I wonder what tactics they’ll use to say they were really against it when all hell breaks loose in the middle east with great bloodshed?

Yes, I believe this is leading to House filing lawsuit against the sanctions relief when Zero goes ahead anyway.

However, any legislation (regardless of whether it passes one or both houses or is blocked by filibuster, etc) that further delegitimizes the deal is good for Israel, if and when they decide they need to take action.

McConnell has NO balls. He’s the turkey equivalent of a CAPON.

Was it a bill or a resolution?

A bill makes law and requires passage of both houses and signature of the president, or overriding a veto. A resolution, on the other hand, merely expresses the will of the House, the Senate, or in the case of a joint resolution, both.

The House should pass a resolution, a "Sense of the House" resolution, that says that the conditions for voting on Obama's treaty have not been met and there is nothing for the House to do at this time.

The House should also pass a Joint Resolution and send it to the Senate, so that both houses are on record. But even if Turtle Head won't put a resolution through the Senate, having one from the House is enough to kill the Corker framework.

If Boehner put this through as a bill, it is just more Kabuki theater. He knows Turtle Head won't act on it, and it will die, like just another repeal of Obamacare.

Based on your link, I see it is a House Resolution, not a bill or a joint resolution. A joint resolution is designated H.J. Res. and then a number. This is an H.Res. Good.

Bonehead is worried about his job.

Nonetheless, I’m happy about this. The next step is that McConnell HAS to take that House vote, make a determination that there IS no agreement under the Corker law, and then schedule a vote on the TREATY that Obama submitted - FORCE the Senate to vote on it...and if it doesn’t get 67 votes, it is history.

COME ON REPUBLICANS, SHOW SOME GUTS!!!!

Someday we’ll find out which was worse — the terrible things included in the Treaty’s side deals or the terrible things Mitch McConnell did that allowed Obama to blackmail him into getting the Treaty approved.

Agree. I don’t believe the courts to be the proper venue. A congress of the people’s reps and state ambassadors would never have allowed so much power to swirl into the exec and judicial branches.

Kabuki theater. Nothing more. This will still go into effect. Our tax dollars will now flow to directly fund Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

It is remarkable that Cruz has to rally House Conservatives because the Senate is so corrupt.
