Drug Enforcement Administration agents have been accessing personal medical files without a warrant, generating a backlash from doctors and privacy advocates who say the practice is intrusive and unconstitutional -- and have taken the agency to court.
Its just not right, Texas attorney Terri Moore said.
The controversial record searches are part of the government's effort to crack down on illegal pill mills and prescription drug abuse. But they've set up a clash over privacy rights, and a legal battle is now playing out in the 5th and 9th Circuit appeals courts. Lower courts have issued conflicting rulings to date, with one backing the DEA and another demanding the agency get warrants if it wants to look at patient records.

The War on Drugs is nothing but a war on the peoples' freedoms. Time to end it.

Some people wanted Obamacare, that is what it means, government perusing your medical records. Papers please.
Must know that you are fit or unfit for society.
Can’t own a gun if you are deemed unfit.

One of the main purpose of a communists government, such as we have now, is to put everyone in a glass cage to be inspected, prodded, and punished with rules they make as they go.

And in commie/socialist governments, the people must be powerless against the iron fist of the government.

I an staring to get to the point that when a government agency gets too abusive it time to dissolve them completely. Once eliminated former employees can never work for the U.S. Government again.

They also want to know how many people are ‘obese’ (by the erroneous BMI index).
It’s not the role of government.
And the government is requiring doctors to ask more invasive questions.
This article focuses on investigations of the doctors themselves.

Eliminate the War on Drugs and there is no reason for the DEA to exist.

I still have a problem with people selling or giving illegal drugs to children. Teens have been reporting for years that they can get pot more easily than cigarettes or beer - which stands to reason, since only sellers of legal goods have incentive to 'card' buyers.

DEA shouldn’t even exist. States can have their own drug laws and enforcement.
Courts can settle differences between states. Border agencies, customs can deal with trafficking across international boundaries.
War on drugs, war on terror is really war on Americans. The idea is to strip citizens of their rights and install totalitarian government.
