“a bill mandating a cut in state greenhouse gas emissions to 80% below 1990 levels by 2050. “

Complete insanity.

We have an utter and complete fool as a governor in Sacramento, akin to the feckless fool on the hill.

I just read that the “poor nations” that have been carried on the backs of capitalist nations for years now want “reparations” for causing “extreme climate changes.” Since the phonyass “courts” would never ask them to prove their case, we need to cut off all aid to these idiots until they can prove to the US taxpayers that we actually caused their sewer of a country to continue being a sewer.

been waiting to see this.

without the bankrupt gop leg in ca to prop them up, the dems are now completely responsible for the leftist failures in the state and starting to crack up because of it.

use this opportunity to start an independent conservative party in ca.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

BTW, how has California’s strict environment policies helped their climate?

The damn GOP can’t even control the Democrats, how in the heck do they plan on controlling the Sun?

Imagine the EPA without the accountability.

WTF? What accountability?

Yes we do. What's really scary to think about is that American voters elected both of them -- not once but twice each. So if Brown and Obama are both fools, what does that make of those who voted for them? To paraphrase Pogo, "We have found the enemy and he is Democrats."

California is burning. California embraces millions of non-citizens who shouldn't be there, using their diminishing water and other resources. People who mostly aren't into environmental concerns.

Yeah, that works. (sarcasm)

Got to be one of the biggest scams of all time; poorer countries blaming richer ones for the weather.

To top it off, Brown and the Greenies characterized the defeat as a victory for Big Oil.

That's his minority constituency he's talking about lol

Jerry Brown... hailed California as a model of green virtue at the Vatican this summer and had hoped to flaunt sweeping new anticarbon regulations at the U.N's climate-change summit in Paris this year. But now his party has mutinied. Democrats hold near supermajorities in both legislative chambers with 52 of 80 seats in the Assembly. Yet this week 21 Democratic Assembly members representing middle- and low-income communities -- including 11 blacks and Latinos -- joined Republicans to kill a bill mandating a cut in state greenhouse gas emissions to 80% below 1990 levels by 2050. Democrats also forced Mr. Brown to scrap a measure that would have given the California Air Resources Board plenary authority to reduce statewide oil consumption in vehicles by half by 2030... "One of the implications probably would have been higher gas prices," noted Democratic Assemblyman Jim Cooper. "Who does it impact the most? The middle class and low-income folks." The defeat is all the more striking for the failure of appeals to green moral superiority. Liberal groups targeted Catholic Democrats with ads featuring Pope Francis. Mr. Brown demonized oil companies for selling a "highly destructive" product.
