“I’ve switched. Trump is my #1. He understands how to get things done. Cruz can be VP.”

I think Cruz would make an excellent VP to Trump. He’d probably be the most visible and engaged VP this country has ever seen and Trump would ensure he was by empowering him to be more than just the typical VP. Give Trump 4 years to reset a number of things then let Cruz continue the work. I favor that approach.

I’m a Cruz guy but have to admit i’m coming around to this way of thinking.

I do remember seeing a reference to it, but I don’t believe I saw the full article or interview.

It was quite pro Trump from what I recall.

Come on, Folks... I mean seriously. Listen to this interview....Trump is the man. I don’t give a rat’s if a Jesse Ventura effect or what it is.

The man is a true American. He is going to kick @ss for us.

I think there’s a clear effort of the status quo to keep their finger on him.

But seriously, Ben Carson? RFEally? Carli? Marco? Even Ted Cruz, whom I admire the most. These people are not even close.

Trump is the PGA champion, the others are Amateurs...They’re all Apprentices...

Excellent observation, because “words have meaning.”

Interesting comments.

You’d think he would be whooping it up more, but it was a controlled complimentary article.

There’s nothing negative in there, but it wasn’t like Trump was “the best” at this and that and the other think, making him look like a god figure.

It was a level headed insight into Trumps days during that period. Interesting.

He’s not sure he’ll vote for Trump, but my guess is he will.

Thanks for the link.

Everyone knows his policy on immigration. He brought out a proposal on it. I believe his tax proposal will besimple and stunning all at once. Simplification is essential. As he said the tax system we have now is the most expensive tax structure in the World. Add in the regulatory state and it isn’t even close.

We could use a bit more freedom and less taxation is essential for freedom.

Trump is well known for sleeping less than five hours a night. He has often said he sleeps very little and has always been known as a high energy guy.

I don’t include Cruz with the other 17. He is great at what he does.

He has accomplished a lot in our defense as an attorney.

He has Trump’s desire to make this country great again.

Trump has a radio face. Even his voice is not great. He lacks the charisma necessary. But he’s humble enough to know it

It was his voice on mark Levine radio show the day following obamas last election that said we are going to get it back

He has continued his run but he hasn’t said one bad thing about Trump. I think he can see that Trump is the way we’re going to get it back

As some of the other GOPe RINO’s exit the race I have the perfect song for Trump to play everytime one drops out, starting with Rick Perry.

Frank Sinatra recorded this song and it fits, it’s called, “One for the Losers”

The interviewer pointed out that he already has a lifestyle full of many privileges and status, implying that becoming President may bore him, tire him out or not seem worth his time. His response:

“It’s the excitement, not of becoming President, of taking something that’s really broken — our country’s broken — and fixing it… of really making it great again.”

It’s.the make up. Too much blue and too light around the eyes.

I think he either tans or uses a tanning bed. If he tans, either at his Florida home or his New York rooftop, he probably wears sunglasses. In a tanning bed, you also wear eye protection. I think that's where the white circles under the eyes come from. If he wore makeup, you can be sure that reporters would talk about it constantly, as they did with Michael Jackson.

In deference to other FReepers that may feel otherwise, Trump is a breath of fresh air blown into what otherwise would have been a “same old, same old” stagnant “hold your nose and vote for x” campaign. Many were looking for their candidate to emerge and carry the mantle. The Walker, Cruz, Bush, Rubio and Paul camps have been waiting for their candidate’s moment to shine and it was all washed away, for now, at least, by an insurgent, Trump tsunami (admittedly with a Carson, or outsider, follow on) that no one really anticipated. It is still early, and slot can change, but if this continues a few more months we may have just witnessed a watershed event in politics and the history of our country not unlike the Reagan revolution. Trump is no Reagan, but our country is very different and these times are very different. Nonetheless, we need strong, definitive, America first leadership right now. It may not be classical conservatism, but sometimes you deal with the cards as their dealt.

Sorry, meant to say Trump is NOT Reagan, not, “no Reagan”. However his leadership, decisiveness and Make America Great Again theme is the shot in the arm we need, IMO.

I consider Corker to be VERY problematic.

Look, some guy has threatened your mom’s life. You say you love your mom, and you’ll do anything to protect her.

Then you hear someone is going to sell him bullets for his gun, and you run cover for the guy so he can do it.

Is this what you do, in order to prevent the worst from happening? No. You make sure the guy never gets the bullets.

In all instances, if you won’t want Iran to have nuclear weapons, if you don’t want TPP, if you don’t want to displace more U. S. workers (H1-B), you do nothing to enable these things, and everything you can to stop them.

Cruz failed these simple tests, after promising he would do better than the others.

If he can fail this blatantly at a time when there is this much visibility, what was he doing when there wasn’t?

That question haunts me. If any other guy had done these things, I would be writing them off. I think you would have as well.

I haven’t done so yet, but I’m not a happy camper on these issues.
