There are issues on which I am flexible, but Amnesty is not one of them.

It's amazing just...

1. how widely held is our NO AMNESTY belief, and...

2. how strongly held is our NO AMNESTY belief.

We are unambiguously passionate about NOT allowing amnesty for illegal aliens, and that will not be changing (in fact, I would wager that it's a wide majority within not only the GOP grass roots, but also the indies).

How can we all know that we so strongly oppose amnesty, and they not get it?

.

Political donors love the last amnesty precedent and our current immigration policy because they encourage illegals. Enforcing current immigration laws would mean only legal employees, and they cost a lot more. Reforming immigration laws to let in the same numbers, but allow them to be legal, would also cost a lot more. The best option for the corrupt business class is our ongoing flood of illegals, who work for far less than legal employees and hope for the next Amnesty. The political class gets it, they just prefer to serve those who donate generously rather than serving the people of the United States.
